Jake and Chloe Linacre hired a photo booth from us to capture their wedding day just outside Liverpool, from when we arrived at the venue through to taking our last photos of the evening, it was fantastic event with lots of fun.

Upon arrival to Thornton Hall, we had a good amount of time before the evening reception was due to start, allowing us to set up with no pressure, speak with venue staff and get the photo booth ready for when guests arrived.
We can see straight away why Thornton Hall is one of the go-to wedding venues over in the North West. The lovely setting, neighbouring landscape and cosy feel give couples and their families visiting an impressive arrival.
The staff at the venue is SO well trainned and well organized, helping us to find the reception area, and suggesting a proper place for setting up. Communicating clearly with the wedding venue team helps immensely, especially while setting up entertainment at an event like magic mirror photo booth where timing and positioning are key.

The Ideal Spot for the Photo Booth
The perfect match for the booth located directly in front of the main reception area was determined after discussions with the Thornton Hall team. We always try to make sure we put our photo booths somewhere that feels part of the celebration so close enough for guests to see and use during the evening, but not too obstructive with the wedding flow.
Thornton Hall had ample space to mingle, snap group photos and socialise without becoming too congested between the dance-floor, bar and seated areas.Once the location was finalised, we proceeded to build our magic mirror photo booth with professional lighting and a dye-sublimation printer along with some fun wedding props.
The setup was an elegant addition to the floor, well suited in the lovely surrounds of Thornton Hall making for a stylish air about the evenings entertainment.
Preparing Everything Before Guests Arrived
We completed our usual checks to make sure everything was up and running smoothly before the first guests started using the booth. In this stage, I tested the camera, lighting, touchscreen and also when printing everything was starting from the highest quality.
These are among the final preparations which precede every wedding we attend. The best-prepared photo booth allows guests to simply enjoy the experience without interruption, and Jake & Chloe could sit back and relax knowing that their friends and family were making memories all night.
Guests Take Advantage of the Photo Booth All Night
After the formalities ended and the evening festivities commenced, guests soon began to rush over to the booth. Whether they were romantic couple shots or big family group photos, the photo booth was one of the hit elements of reception.
Guests were encouraged to have fun on the night and used props such as oversized glasses, hats and other accessories to form photos they could take away home. With drinks now being poured and the dance floor getting busier, the energy of this celebration was clearly on the rise.
We provided direction to make sure guests received the best experience possible from the booth; recommending poses, helping bigger groups fit and ensuring that everyone was leaving with a photo they liked.
I thought it was so clever having friends and family of both Jake and Chloe getting involved, the number of guests we had returning during the evening to get some photographs with different groups was fabulous!
