We had the pleasure of providing our photo booth hire for Mr and Mrs Rich’s wedding on 18th December 2025, and from the moment we climbed the venue’s steps to the final photos of the night, it was a wedding reception we thoroughly enjoyed being part of.
Rolling into the Conwy Valley
We pulled up to Plas Maenan at 6.30pm in the evening, giving ourselves a good hour and a half to settle in and have the photo booth ready for the reception’s 8pm start time.
Located in the Conwy Valley, the venue is surrounded by beautiful Welsh countryside, and although it was dark by the time we arrived, the approach alone sets the tone for wedding celebrations.
The wedding organiser and other staff were welcoming and helpful, making access and unloading out gear straightforward. With weddings at fancy venues, timing is important, and Plas Maenan’s organisation made it easy for us to work efficiently without disrupting the flow of other things going on.

Finding the Perfect Spot for the Booth
After we got inside, we worked with the venue team to choose the ideal location for the photo booth. We always aim for a space that everyone can see and is inviting, but not intrusive to the point where it gets in the way. Plas Maenan offered several great options at the rear end of the venue.
After the layout was confirmed, we set about putting our magic mirror booth together, including the strobe flash, dye sublimation printer, and props table. The venue’s top interior went beautifully with our setup, and we made sure everything was camera-ready before guests entered the room.
Final Checks Before Picture Taking
Before 8pm, we ran full equipment checks, adjusted lighting levels, and made sure 6×4 inch prints were coming out perfectly. These quieter moments before guests arrive are crucial—they allow us to fine-tune every detail so the experience runs smoothly once the party starts and people have had a few drinks.
By the time the reception was in full swing, the booth was ready and waiting.
Guests Let Loose After the Formalities
As the night progressed, Mr and Mrs Rich’s wedding guests quickly embraced the photo booth. From relaxed couple shots in fine attire to lively group pictures with “It’s him next” and “I just came for the boos” wedding cards and other props, our wedding booth booth hire quickly became one of the centrepieces of the evening.
We stayed on hand throughout the evening, guiding guests, helping with props, and making sure everyone left with a photo they loved. After the first dance, the energy really lifted, and the booth stayed busy right through the night.
